Birds are recurring characters within the Splatoon series. They can be seen almost everywhere, including maps. however, approaching them will cause them to fly away.

Birds at the Inkopolis plaza look like a typical sparrow with a round, white stomach, brown head, and dark brown wings. The eyes and beaks are black. Their feet are a tan color and are barely visible.
Several sparrows can be seen at the early prototypes for Splatoon, where they gather around Cap'n Cuttlefish's manhole.
