The Bloblobber is a Main Slosher Weapon in Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3.
Overview[]
The Bloblobber is a Slosher weapon that sloshes out four ink bubble-clusters that have the ability to bounce off of walls, unlike most other sloshers. The Bloblobber's design resembles that of a bath tub, and it's been confirmed that it was inspired by said appliance.
Tips[]
Using[]
- Distancing is key for effective use of the Bloblobber, making it crucial to always stay at a medium range.
- The Bloblobber is unique in having the ability to fire multiple projectiles at once, unlike any other slosher. Make sure to always direct where your shots will go for max effectiveness.
- The projectiles of the Bloblobber continue to bounce a few times after being fired. You can use these projectiles to hit opponents from around a corner, or to protect a tower.
Countering[]
- A Bloblobber user's best friend is distance. By closing in on them before they can trap you, you set up a situation where the user is forced to retreat.
- Bloblobber users have a lot of power over where they allow you to move. If you notice yourself being trapped, ink an escape route.
- If you have a long-range weapon and notice that your short-ranged team members are falling victim to a Bloblobber user, you can set a trap for them by baiting them with the short-ranged weapon user and then splatting them, letting the short-range threats move farther into enemy territory.
Trivia[]
- The weapon was added to Splatoon 2 on July 31, 2018 at 8pm ET (5pm PT)[1]
- People using this weapon can splat enemies with one lob if they are hit with every ink blob.
- This weapon was originally one of the most powerful weapons in Splatoon 2.
