Bomb Rush Blush is the fifth and final boss mission in the Hero Mode of Splatoon 2. The mission can be found in the fifth and final sector, Cephalon HQ. It requires 6 Zapfish.
The boss is none other than DJ Octavio, having escaped his original imprisonment in the snow globe at the end of Splatoon, and had kidnapped and brainwashed Callie of the Squid Sisters to help him in his latest plot, while also kidnapping the Great Zapfish again to power his new mech, the Octobot King II.
The boss fight takes place in a large stadium, where it is clear DJ Octavio intended to turn all the Octolings who defected to Inkopolis at the end of Splatoon, including Marina, back to his side. He is also accompanied with Callie to further enforce that goal, due to how the song Calamari Inkantation caused his defeat previously and convinced Marina and so many other Octolings to defect and side with the Inklings.
During the boss fight, as Agent 4 fights Callie and DJ Octvavio, Callie's cousin and fellow Squid Sister Marie, arrives with weapons expert Sheldon to save Callie, shooting off DJ Octavio's hypnoshades with a Hero Charger loaded with low-tide ink to minimize the risk of splatting Callie, leaving her in a groggy confused state. She starts singing Tide Goes Out while Bomb Rush Blush is playing with it. After the third phase is over, Marie grabs a radio out of her pocket and plays Calamari Inkantation for Callie to recover her memory.Only once Marie begins playing Calamari Inkantation does Callie remember everything and leaps towards the stage set up on the top of Sheldon's truck, quickly changing back into her Squid Sister outfit, and once more performing Calamari Inkantation with Marie, now with a "spicy flair" to it, thus creating the Spicy Calamari Inkantation to aid Agent 4. Sheldon provides them with a modified Rainmaker to finish off DJ Octavio, as DJ Octavio soon finds himself unable to resist dancing to the Squid Sisters' song again, and his plan backfires spectacularly as, it is possible, more of the Octolings under his command defected to Inkopolis afterwards.
