Strategy[]
The Booyah Bomb is great for countering bombs, area denial, protection and displacement. It rapidly damages and splats any opponents caught within its blast.
Use[]
The Booyah Bomb can either turn the tide of a battle or fully tilt it in its user's team favor, but only if used properly.
- Try to activate the Booyah Bomb in a safe place, as even an opposing Aerospray user within range can break the Booyah Bomb armor.
- The explosion of the Booyah Bomb often places enough ink to uncap most of the Splat Zones and single-handedly capture smaller zones.
- Try to predict where the enemy is going so they can run into the Booyah Bomb.
- When players activate it they gain about 500 more HP, so players don’t have to worry that much when activating the special.
- But, using the special makes them a sitting duck, so try to do it in a safe spot.
- The player should use the special in a spot where they don’t have limited areas to throw. An example of a bad spot to use the special is at Ancho-V Games, at the moving propellers by the middle of the stage because there are signs that will block their way.
Countering[]
- When an enemy player is charging the Booyah Bomb, they’re vulnerable, so try to break their armour and splat them.
- Tenta Missiles are great for splatting the enemy, as three direct shots can break the armor and splat them.
- When the enemy is land down from their Booyah Bomb, they’re completely vulnerable for a moment, so the player should use that advantage in order to splat them.
- Booyah Bombs when unleashed don’t block ink, they only destroy bombs.
- So, the player can use this to their advantage by still splatting them even when throwing it at them.
Trivia[]
- The Booyah Bomb is probably based off Goku's Spirit Bomb from Dragon Ball Z.
- The way that the Booyah Bomb deals damage, as well as the large circle of ink that the Booyah Bomb creates when it hits inkable turf, are both very similar to the Inkstrike.
- In Splatoon 2, there are no chargers, blasters, brushes, sloshers, dualies, or brellas that have the Booyah Bomb as their special weapon, nor it is paired with Suction Bombs, Curling Bombs, Autobombs, Ink Mines, Toxic Mist, Squid Beakons, Fizzy Bombs or Torpedoes.
- By pressing and holding R, it will allow more range tossing the Booyah Bomb.
