C-Side is a band in Splatoon 3. Although they were not musically trained, they quickly skyrocketed into popularity. According to a developer interview, they're quite rebellious, and they tend to disregard rules, as they covered Squid Squad's song, Splattack!, without permission. They have a strong sense of pride, thinking themselves to be the "greatest band alive", according to the Splatoon Base website[1].

Baker[]
Baker (Also known as "Beika" in the Japanese version of the game) is (presumably) an inkling, and is one of the vocalists and the bassist of C-Side. According to "Beika's Tweets" in the Splatune 3 booklet, they have a clear distaste for Squid Squad, and they claim that C-Side originally wrote "Now or Never!". However, they seem to enjoy Bottom Feeders. Baker also claims to simply want to "create fresh tunes for squids to enjoy in this era of chaos."
Kiki[]
Kiki (Also known as "Kikura" in the Japanese version of the game) is a peacock bass, one of the vocalists, and the guitarist of C-Side. According to "Beika's Tweets" they often are late to band practice, and left the band once, only to return a while later. They are also a part of the band Riot Act in the Fresh Season 2024.
Walter[]
Walter (Also known as "Uotora") is the drummer of the band, and is (presumably) a type pufferfish. Walter is described as having a high-pitched voice that Baker describes as sounding ridiculous, and he created the demo for "Paintscraper".
Etymology[]
"Uotora" means "fish tiger" in Japanese.
Trivia[]
- According to Baker, Clickbait was created when Walter was messing around on the drums. Kiki and Baker ended up just playing along, and thus, C-Side's most iconic song was created.
- Although they have a clear distaste for the Inkopolis music scene, Baker has expressed how they enjoy occasionally listening to the Bottom Feeders.
- Baker used to go to school with Ichiya of Squid Squad, who was initially from the Splatlands.
