An Inkling using a weapon (Splattershot)

Weapons are tools used in Splatoon franchise to spread ink and splat Inklings and Octolings. They can be purchased from Ammo Knights (in both Splatoon and Splatoon 2) with money earned from multiplayer matches and Amiibo challenges. In Splatoon 3 you will need to get weapons by getting Sheldon licenses by leveling up and raising your weapon's freshness level.

List of Weapons[]

Main[]

Shooter[]

  • The Splattershot is a standard weapon that shoots rapid-fire bursts when the trigger is held down, allowing for quick coverage of large areas.
Main-weapon

The Splattershot, Splat Charger, and Splat Roller.

  • The Aerospray MG fires in quick bursts, so players are able to coat large areas in a short amount of time. However, it is a short-range weapon, so it can make quick work of nearby targets.
  • The Blaster shoots large bullets that explode into ink. Enemies can be caught in its blast, but a direct shot will quickly take them out.
  • The Jet Squelcher has the longest firing range in the Shooter category. It can be a fairly effective sniping tool.

Charger[]

  • The Splat Charger requires a quick charge, but is able to splatter the ground in a linear fashion and take out distant enemies.
  • The Classic Squiffer is a very fast charging charger with a very short range.
  • The Splatterscope features a scope, making it easy to take out distant enemies, but you cannot hold your charge under ink.
  • The Bamboozler 14 MK I is a fast charging charger with a long range.
  • The Goo Tuber is equipped with a charge hold for a very long time.

Roller[]

  • The Splat Roller allows players to spread ink while moving very quickly. When shaken, it splatters a small amount of ink nearby.
  • The Dynamo Roller covers a large amount of turf and deflects enemy fire when shaken, but is very slow.
  • The Carbon Roller has increased speed, but it does lower damage and can't crush enemies unless they are already weakened.
  • The Carbon Roller Deco has the same stats as the original, but with a different sub and special weapon.
  • The Big Swig Roller is built for spreading ink quickly and efficiently, but it cannot crush enemies unless they are already weakened.
  • The Flingza Roller was made for jump-flicking ink which was a feature that was introduced in the second game. It has fast and powerful jump flicks, but the rest of it's stats are kind of low.

  • The Mini Splatling has shorter range but has a super quick charge

  • The Ballpoint Splatling has two firing modes, one for long distance and accuracy and one for close combat with a better firing rate.

  • The Clash Blaster has short range and low damage but very fast shots that spread lots of ink.
  • The Luna Blaster has a bit shorter range than the blaster and a longer period between shooting ink, but it has more powerful shots.

  • The Range Blaster is a long blaster with a sleek design that takes a long time in between shots, but has long range and powerful shots.
  • The Rapid Blaster has a rapid firing rate, perfect for splatting opponents.
  • The Rapid Blaster Pro has higher damage and an increased range of fire, but longer time in between shots.

Sub[]

Sub-weapon (1)

The Sprinkler, Splash Wall, and Splat Bomb.

  • The Burst Bomb is a water balloon-esque bomb that explodes on impact. However, because it contains less ink than a Splat Bomb, multiple can be thrown quickly and two must be used in order to splatter an opponent.
  • The Disruptor slows enemies down and lowers their abilities.
  • The Ink Mine can be hidden in ink, and will explode after a short amount of time or when an enemy touches it.
  • The Point Sensor reveals the locations of enemies and marks them for all teammates to see for easy tracking.
  • The Seeker is a mechanical device that follows enemies and leaves a trail of ink behind. Upon reaching its target or after a certain amount of time, it explodes into a large burst of ink.
  • The Splat Bomb is the standard Sub Weapon. It is a pyramidal container filled with ink that explodes after a short period of time.
  • The Splash Wall forms a barrier made of falling ink that prevents enemy movement and fire.
  • The Sprinkler can be thrown onto a variety of surfaces and sprays out spurts of ink in a circular motion for a short amount of time.
  • The Squid Beacon is a device that allows teammates to Super Jump directly to its location.
  • The Suction Bomb sticks to walls and other surfaces, exploding shortly after.

Special[]

Special-weapon (1)

The Killer Wail, Inkzooka, and Inkstrike.

  • The Bubbler is a spherical force field that rebounds enemy attacks and can be spread to teammates. It is available for a short amount of time.
  • The Echolocator reveals the locations of all enemies for teammates to see.
  • The Inkstrike can be placed using the Wii U Gamepad and creates a large, swirling vortex of ink to appear.
  • The Inkzooka shoots tall, narrow twisters of ink in rapid succession, allowing for quick placement of linear paths and splattering of enemies.
  • The Killer Wail blasts a large sound wave in a certain direction that obliterates all enemies in its path.
  • The Kraken allows Inklings to temporarily transform into large, kraken-like creatures with enhanced mobility and power.
  • The Tenta Missiles allow the player to shoot squid-targeting missiles to the enemy team.
  • The Splashdown allows the player to inkpunch the surface, causing an inksplosion (and instant splat if enemies are around) around the area where the inkpunch is.
  • The Baller allows the player to move in a spherical ball, exploding after a short amount of time. The Baller can also explode early when the player holds the ZR trigger on the Switch controller, and can be destroyed.
  • Bomb Launchers allow the player to unleash multiple Splat, Suction, Burst, or Autobombs for a short amount of time.
  • The Inkjet makes the player fly with a weapon similar to a Blaster, exploding after a short amount of time and allowing the player to Super Jump back to the original spot where the weapon was activated.
  • The Booyah Bomb requires the player to charge the bomb with Booyahs (pressing the down button on the Switch controller) and unleash a super bomb causing an inksplosion. If enemies are around they will get splatted (or not) by the Booyah Bomb's effect.
  • The Ink Storm will unleash a storm of ink and enemies may or may not be splatted.
  • The Sting Ray will unleash a line of ink by holding the ZR trigger, which can shoot through walls.
  • The Bubble Blower will unleash three massive ink bubbles that when shot, explode around them.
  • Ink Armor encases the entire team in an inkshield, that disappears after a short amount of time.
  • The Ultra Stamp equips the player with a massive stamp, which can be ink stamped around the field and give enemies an instant splat if they come into contact. The stamp will disappear after a brief period of time.

Other[]

  • The Rainmaker acts similarly to the Inkzooka and is only available in the gamemode Rainmaker. In Splatoon 2's Hero Mode, Sheldon equips Agent 4 with a modded Rainmaker during the final boss.
