Goggles is the main protagonist of the Splatoon Manga, and a member of Team Blue. He is also the mascot of team Challenger in the Champion vs. Challenger Splatfest.

Appearance

Goggles is a light skinned male Inkling who has blue eyes, blue hair, and blue ink, though he can change the color at will. In the Splatoon 1 arc, he wears the Pilot Goggles, Armor Jacket Replica, and Hero Runner Replicas. However, in Chapter 0, he wears the Zink Layered LS and Purple Hi-Horses. During the Hero Mode chapters, he had the Hero Headset Replica with his goggles and the Hero Jacket Replica.

In the Square King Cup arc and onwards for the Splatoon 2 arc (excluding the Octo Expansion arc), he wears the Eggplant Mountain Coat and Hero Runner Replicas. In the Octo Expansion arc, he wears the Sennyu Goggles, Sennyu Suit, and Sennyu Inksoles. In the Hero Mode 2 arc, he wears the Hero Headphones Replica, with his goggles yet again, the Hero Hoodie Replica and the Hero Snowboots Replicas.

In Splatoon Bankara!, he is seen wearing his Pilot Goggles, with a Tri-Squid Tee due to his Eggplant Mountain Coat having been damaged when he tried to super-jump to his friends, despite them being close by. After he gets his new gear, he has the Pilot Goggles, the Lime Ski Jacket, and his Hero Runner Replicas. He also goes back to wearing the classic shorts.

Personality

Goggles acts very childish and is very energetic. He is almost always seen doing something stupid or funny, and also likes to do things at inappropriate times. He also encourages having fun in battles, as shown in his fight with Emperor. When his friend, fellow Team Blue member Bobble Hat does something stupid, he will usually join in and vice versa. In the first volume of the manga, he is shown to engage in practical jokes, mainly pantsing other Inklings (most notably Rider) and getting naked in public.

• Some of Goggles’ favorite foods are rice balls and pickled plums, specifically his grandmother’s handmade ones.
