King Salmonids (オカシラシャケ Okashirashake?, lit. Boss Salmonid) are gigantic Salmonids introduced in Splatoon 3’s Salmon Run: The Next Wave. They revealed in the Nintendo Direct on February 9th, 2022. The name “Cohozuna” was officially revealed on a Splatoon 3 Direct on August 10th, 2022.
Appearance
The King Salmonid that was seen resembles a giant, grotesquely obese Cohock. It has two glowing bulging white eyes, chains around its neck, and a pair of pants with two belts. It has been described as "unfathomably terrifying" and "ginormous". [1][2] It also has a striking resemblance to Maws.
