Launchpads are a mechanic featured mainly in the Hero Modes of Splatoon, Splatoon 2, and Splatoon 3.
Functionality[]
They launch the player from one section of the level to another, or between platforms. This can be done by changing into squid/octopus mode while on or very close to the launchpad.
Appearance[]
They look like a swirling pool of ink usually set on a slightly elevated platform.
