The Marina Agitando (イイダ・エジタンド, Iida Ejitando^?, lit. Marina Esitando) is the imprisoned form of Marina and the first boss the player will face when starting Side Order, serving as the prologue boss upon reaching the Control Room on Floor 10 of the Spire of Order.

Appearance

It features Marina wearing her outfit from the Chaos vs. Order Splatfest, including the two diamond shapes on her left cheek. The tips of her tentacles are brown like the rest of the tentacles instead of blue with a galaxy pattern. While being brainwashed similar to Callie, she is wearing the Controller VM. She is entrapped in a machine of potentially Jelleton ink that is later shown to be Order. During the fight, it gains a red hue and beats in a similar fashion as a human heart. On all four sides of this tentacle mound are speakers with a design resembling Overlorder's eyes, covered by a diamond-shaped frame. In this form, Marina is much taller than she normally is, appearing several times taller than Eight, for example, possibly due to the cephalopod ability of RNA editing (or it could simply be Order manipulating her body within the Memverse simulation during its control over her, as she switches back to her normal size instantly after being defeated).

Behavior

She uses the speakers around her to attack by either summoning Jelletons, using a barrage of large ink blobs, or a Super Chump salvo. She is also protected by a forcefield that is only disabled by taking out the Jelleton spawning portals maintaining it around the periphery of the main platform.

Strategy

One thing you need to make sure of is that you have enough ink in your Ink Tank. If you don't have enough, you will easily get overwhelmed by the amount of Jelletons that spawn.

Trivia

• The Marina Agitando boss fight shares a similar gimmick to the Overlorder boss fight.
• During the boss fight, Marina seems to be massive and much bigger then Agent 8 and Pearl, but in the cutscene she is normal size. This is most likely for visibility purposes, as it would otherwise be difficult to see Marina from underneath during the fight.
