Hello! I'm a Discord admin over at Zeldapedia's Discord server (now merged with Zelda Wiki), and I was wondering if this wiki has a Discord server. If not, may I suggest having one created?
Given the Splatoon community is gonna get a little quiet after the Final Fest, I think it's a great idea to create a Discord server for the community to keep it lively (especially after seeing what happened to Zeldapedia after Breath of the Wild died down).
Since you're the only admin who's active here, I'd figure I should contact you directly as opposed through the Forums. However, I've already posted there as well as in the Discuss section, so you may spot them on your way around those places.
Hi! My name is PsiSeveredHead, and I’m the Fandom Wiki Manager for the Splatoon Wiki. I am here to help the community and be a liaison to full-time Fandom staff. If you ever have a question or issue relating to the wiki, editing, etc., please contact me on my message wall or talk page. PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) (wall) contribs 21:00, May 20, 2019 (UTC)
i apologise for the incoming essay of a post but i've been an infrequent user of the wiki, although action needs to be taken from what i've seen
the sea harelings aren't official and aren't in the art book, while i can't provide proof the artbook since i don't own it, the proof can be very easily searched by passing the image backwards through a search. It's a fan-made image, the article is word-for-word copied from the artist's fanpage that is linked, which is also linked from their tumblr
i'll provide a few images of my search as proof. I'll be using a program called lightshot, I ASSURE you these are images
the search brought up no official sources, nor has any of it stated it's from the artbook. The fact it's linked to a tumblr page of someone who openly expressed they were fanmade along with the link to the original article should really speak for itself
this isn't the only time. i made a post on his wall initially showing him city of colour is not a fan term as he was describing it as, and I datamined the game to prove it, the game holds a list of the english and japanese names for all the songs, which i managed to find and decrypt from the game's files (it was a byaml though i don't have it right now since my computer's been under repairs lately and my file was there, BUT i have the links still) because around the end of the first game's life time, updates were released containing all the official english names of the songs, not only this but the squid sister amiibo also refer to it as city of colour both (even differentiating between or and our for eu us and eu games but that's besides the point), though still didn't believe me even though i provided proof (which is this: http://prntscr.com/l4j8eu )
he's also edited bomb rush blush so that the hiragana side of the table instead turned into something that someone had pushed through google translate despite that there is little to no hiaragana whatsoever in that side of the table (here's proof it's him who did it, if you look in the history you can also see it for yourself http://prntscr.com/mkdaw2 )
I don't come back to this wiki often, only infrequently, but more recently they've all had to be because of these things and it bothers me to see him an admin. If something can be done i'd appreciate it, if this is supposed to be an alternate wiki from inkipedia then at least let it be accurate, especially since I'm sure probably many trust this site for info
I will leave him with a final warning. I agree that this has become ridiculous. Between this, and continuing to copy and paste articles directly from Inkpedia, after being told not to, I feel like something should be done about this. If he does this again, I will leave him with a temporary (three to six month long) ban.
Also, thank you for your help. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt since I didn't have the art book and assumed that someone just uploaded those images to that site linked on the original page, even though that website was for original creations.
