The Omniscient Recording Computer of Alterna,[1] or more commonly O.R.C.A., is a computer system in Return of the Mammalians in Splatoon 3. O.R.C.A. appears within Alterna, the story mode’s setting.[2] The symbol seen in O.R.C.A's dialogue icon can be seen throughout the story, though often without the orca.
Splatoon 3[]
O.R.C.A often appears when you gear up for the levels in the Splatoon 3 story mode. It says which weapon would benefit the player most playing that level. It was made by human scientists and somehow survived when Alterna got blown up by the rocket the younger scientists made. When you do the mystery kettle, it says nothing, suggesting that the player is about to access forbidden information that the system tried to keep secret.
Alterna Logs[]

Alongside the Sunken Scrolls found in Alterna, O.R.C.A. also keeps the seven Alterna Logs. It seems that O.R.C.A may have written them, as various Logs are written in the first person. However, it is possible that they were written that way, and O.R.C.A. simply preserved them as such.

- If the player manages to enter a level other than Get to Know Alterna, Your Only Choice as their first level, O.R.C.A.'s introductory cutscene will play in that level's respective gate instead.[3]
- Many players theorized that O.R.C.A. would be RotM’s antagonist due to Commander TarTar being an AI as well; however, these theories did not pan out, and it is still unknown if it has an ulterior motive, or if it simply follows its programming.
