The Range Blaster is a MainShooterweapon in Splatoon and Splatoon 2, though its class was changed to Blaster in Splatoon 3. Along with the Inkbrush Nouveau, it was released as a free DLC on July 31st, 2015 at 7 PM PST (NA) and August 1st, 2015 at 7 AM (EU).
The Range Blaster is similar to the Blaster, but it has a lower rate of fire and longer range. It comes with Splash Wall and the Inkstrike in the original fame, followed by Suction Bomb and Ink Storm in Splatoon 2, and Suction Bomb and Wavebreaker in Splatoon 3.This is a watered down version of what you would get if you were to mix a charger with a blaster. Being a Blaster, it has a quick ink depletion and doesn't ink much Turf. Therefore it also takes a lot longer to charge its special. It is not designed for close-range combat. It also has great AoE capabilities.
Appearance[]
In Splatoon and Splatoon 2, it looks very similar to its cousin, the Blaster. The only major change is that the middle part connecting the head and handle is slightly elongated. In Splatoon 3, its design went through a change to have a rounder shell at the front in addition to thick tubes above the handle.
