Salmonid Smokeyard is a map featured in the Salmon Run mode of Splatoon 2.

Layout

Salmonid Smokeyard appears to be some sort of workplace used for fishing businesses to smoke their fish before sending them to market. The egg basket is located on one side of the central trench running down the middle of the map, or down on the beach during low tide waves.

Notable Locations

There are two platforms that move by shooting the propeller mounted on them to get between both sides of the map, especially when delivering Golder Power Eggs to the basket during medium or high tide. A slightly-raised platform next to the egg basket can be used as a way to funnel Salmonids during Rush waves, as the player the Glowflies lure the berserking Chums and Goldies to can stay up there out of harm's way while the other players slaughter the Chums and Goldies as they rush the targeted player. During the low tide Cohock waves, a pair of ink cannons can be used to defend the egg basket and take out the Cohocks and Boss Salmonids from long range, but be wary of Maws as they can still splat players while in the cannons.

Hazards

A small water channel between the two platforms can be tricky to avoid when down on the sand fighting Salmonids, and there's always a chance of being knocked back into the water by the Salmoinds after being revived if one is too close to the edge, as not even their temporary immunity upon being revived can protect them from being dissolved if they fall in the water again.
