The Shadows are a group of characters in the Splatoon manga that have the opposite personality of their original.
General Description[]
Shadows have the same abilities as their originals, with the same gear and same weapon, but with exact opposite personalities. They are mostly grayscale in color, but they have a yellow lightning mark on their foreheads and a yellow gradient in their eyes. They are created in the Battle Tower by the energy that comes from their originals participating in Turf Wars, while they watch.
Shadow Team Blue[]
The Shadow Team Blue is made up of Shadow Goggles, Shadow Specs, Shadow Headphones, and Shadow Bobble Hat.
Personalities[]
S. Goggles is smart while Goggles is an idiot. S. Goggles is also very confident and acts as the leader of the Shadows. S. Specs (and clones) is a complete idiot while Specs is smart, S. Headphones is mean while Headphones is nice, and S. Bobble Hat is always mad (but still has a smile) while Bobble Hat is always happy.

S. Rider is timid and hides behind his Dynamo while Rider is confident, S. Emperor has no confidence while Emperor has plenty, S. Vintage talks way too much while Vintage barely talks at all, and S. Double Egg is polite while Double Egg is rude.

There are multiple other Shadow Versions that don't make a physical appearance in the manga, including Shadow Skull, Shadow Mask, Shadow Prince, Shadow Squidkid Jr., Shadow Inkfall, and Shadow Gloves.
Personalities[]
S. Skull never gets lost while Skull always does, S. Mask is Cheerful while Mask hates cheerful people, S. Prince is cynical while Prince is kind, S. Squidkid Jr. dresses neatly while Squidkid Jr. doesn't, and S. Inkfall loves to clean others while Inkfall likes to stay clean himself. It is unsure what S. Gloves' personality would be.
