- One of the first, and currently only, tournament-style Splatfests was throughout May to determine the fan-favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle in the US and Europe. This 3-part Splatfest is in collaboration with Nickelodeon and their upcoming Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. There was also another tournament-style Splatfest occurring at around the same time in Japan to determine the fan-favorite Sanrio character.
- Before the Final Fest, both Pearl and Marina have won 27 Splatfests across all three regions.
- This is counting each region separately for Splatfests where each region is scored by itself.
- This means that the Mayo vs. Ketchup Splatfest counts as three points for Pearl since she won in each region and each region was scored separately. However, although the Flight vs. Invisibility Splatfest would only count as one point for Pearl since even though the Splatfest took place in both the North American and European regions, both regions were scored together.
- This is counting each region separately for Splatfests where each region is scored by itself.
- After the announcement of the results of the Final Fest, Pearl assures Marina that Off the Hook is never breaking up and will stay together forever, despite the chaos that is to follow due to the results.
- However, several months after the Final Fest, Splatoon 2 started to hold Splatfests again, but spaced further apart compared to their monthly setup before Final Fest. So far, the ones that have been held or are upcoming are rematches for previously held Splatfests, so whether or not this means special Splatfests like Splatoween, Frosty Fest, Spring Fest, and Final Fest will be held again with their accompanying match-ups is still unknown.
- Splatoween was announced to make a return during the weekend of Halloween 2020, with the theme once more being Trick vs. Treat which ended up being a win for Team Treat.
- The Splatfest called Mushroom vs. Star for the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros was the actual final Splatfest which took place in 2021.
