The Tenta Missiles (Japanese: マルチミサイル Maruchi misairu / Multi missiles) is a Special Weapon in Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3.
Appearance[]
The Tenta Missiles are two large missile launchers. They are mainly coloured green, except for the bottles as it is the player’s ink colour. Each launcher has 2 sections, a big one with 4 compartments, and a smaller one, with only 1 compartment. The missiles look like water bottles filled with ink. The bottles are transparent, and the wrapper and cap are the player’s ink color. Inside is the player's ink.
Description[]

An Inkling firing Tenta Missiles
Upon activating the Tenta Missiles, the player swaps their weapon for two clips of portable missiles and the screen is changed to show a "radar" (see screenshot below) with a circle in the middle. Also, every opponent in your field of view is shown, surrounded by brackets (even through walls). Up to five opponents that are inside the circle will have a crosshair on them. After getting targets, the player can hit ZR to unleash the missiles (which are actually bottles filled with ink), which fly up into the air and then quickly home into targeted enemies.
It is useful to note that the crosshairs stay on an enemy until all missiles targeting him exploded, allowing you to track a nearby targeted opponent as he tries to run away from the missiles.
There are only ten missiles, and depending on how many players were selected, they will be targeted by more or less missiles.

Tips[]
Using[]
- The more enemies the player tags, the more effective it is.
- A maximum of five targets can be locked in at the same time.
- This is only possible in the Weapon Testing area, Octo Canyon, Rainmaker mode when targeting the Rainmaker's shield, or during a Tricolor Turf War on an attacking team, due to Regular and other Ranked battles having 4 players on each team, while in Tricolor Battle there are 2 teams of 2, along side the team of 4 defenders.
Countering[]
- When enemies are using Tenta Missiles, they are vulnerable and can easily be splatted.

Trivia[]
- The “missiles” are actually bottles filled with ink that get set off similar to a soda geyser.
- The weapon has been gaining controversy on the media, mainly due to player exploiting a cooldown bug found in the weapon (Splatoon 3).
- The Flyfish uses the same mechanism but only targets two players.
