They Said We'd Have Flying Cars, and We Do! Kinda! is the second mission of the third site of Alterna, Cryogenic Hopetown.

Walkthrough

Move forward to the wide platform with Octomissiles and Octozeppelins crossing. There are two boxes with some Power Eggs you can collect. Move between the Octomissiles and Octozeppelins and climb up the wall; you can also splat them to give yourself more time. Next will be a gap you have to jump across with an Octotrooper on the other side and some more Octozeppelins blocking your path. There are two short columns on either side to help you splat the Octozeppelins. Once you make it across, go straight forward to the first checkpoint.

There will be some boxes with a few Power Eggs that you can collect before heading up the path. You will come to a small gap you need to jump across; wait for the Octozeppelin to pass before doing so. Continue along the path circling up to where the Octozeppelins are spawning. Wait for an Octozeppelin to spawn and it will extend a platform for you to ride on. While you ride to the other side of the stage, some Octomissiles will come at you, alternating left and right; you can either splat them, sidestep them, or ink the platform and swim under them. The second checkpoint will be on a platform on your right.

The box on your right will contain a briefcase. The small box on you left will contain a Power Egg Pack, but to get it you will need to carry on to some higher ground and jump back down to it. Carry on up the path and you will come across another box and two Octotroopers. At the second Octotrooper is an inkable wall that you can climb up to find four more boxes with Power Eggs and a Power Egg Pack. Back on the path will be another area to climb aboard an Octozeppelin. This time the Octomissiles may alternate between three on the left and three on the right, but the spawn pattern could have them approach simultaneously. Again, you can splat them, sidestep them or swim under them. At the other side, drop down through the three Squid Rings and reach the goal.
