Ultra-Stamp in action!

Like all other special weapons, your special gauge must be fully charged to use the Ultra Stamp. The Ultra Stamp is an enormous hammer that slams in front of the player using it. To slam the hammer, press ZR. To continuously slam the hammer, hold ZR. Any opponents that get directly hit by the Ultra Stamp will instantly be splatted unless they have ink armor, which will only save them for a second. Any opponents close enough to the stamp will take damage from the splash when the stamp hits the floor; it won't instantly splat the opponent unless they have taken enough damage beforehand. If the player holding the stamp jumps while pressing ZR or falling while hitting ZR, they will do a front flip, splatting any opponent in front of and behind the player. The Ultra Stamp can also be thrown to hit far opponents by pressing the R button, and aiming where you want to throw the Ultra Stamp by holding R. The with make your player launch the hammer in a spinning motion at the place you aimed at. Once the stamp is thrown or is used long enough, the special will end. The Ultra Stamp cannot hit opponents behind the player unless they stop holding ZR and turn around. Speaking of this, the Ultra Stamp cannot take very sharp turns making controlling the weapon a little more difficult. So be careful if you are playing on maps with gaps you can fall through like Snapper Canal. If two Ultra Stamps collide with eat other, both players will be splatted so be aware of that too.

Tips[]

  • Remember, even with the Ultra Stamp you can still be splatted, even if they are in front of you, so don’t be reckless.
